Here is Keith with the backpack sprayer spreading nemotoids in the garden. After much research by him, we found a strain that would help decrease the population of our unfriendly flea beetles, cucumber beetles, squash bugs, potato beetles and much more and of course we have the dog overseeing the operation.

Carrot Juice
When life gives you lots of carrots, make carrot juice. Great to put in your smoothies.
Foliar Feeding
We have begun our foliar feedings. The ideal time is first thing in the morning or as the sunsets, when the birds are singing. The plants love it when the birds sing. Their leaf “pores” fully open so they can absorb the goodness from the foliar spray.
Garden work
Sunday we were in the garden all day adding carbon (compost) and amendments to the soil. Amendments are useless without a carbon source to hold it in the soil. One main reason chemical farming doesn’t work. It burns all the carbon as well.
Soil Class
Here it a class by the man himself, Dan Kittridge on how we do what we do with our soil. If anyone out there wants to grow like we do. Here is the link for more information. http://www.meetup.com/North-Shore-Metro-West-Bionutrient-Food-Association/events/220578467/?a=ea1_grp&rv=ea1
Food Matters

The event was about what different organizations are doing in the United States from bringing local food to… Continue reading Food Matters

Gluten is contained in many forms. Some I am sure you are familiar with, wheat, durum, spelt, barley,… Continue reading Human Health
What we’ve been up to
Keith and I just got back from a 3 day conference in Somerville, MA attending our second Soil and Nutrition Conference. We had the pleasure of listening to Graeme Sait and his colleague, Joel Williams speak about soil health and human health. They both are from Australia. Graeme began his talk about the reason he… Continue reading What we’ve been up to
Rock Dust
We have 32 tons of rock dust being delivered tomorrow. This is one of the key ingredients to growing the way we do. We will be selling this to anyone who is interested in using this on their gardens. We still have to figure out pricing.
Our Path
As I sit down to write this article, I am wishing I was a better writer. I have so many things in my head from my own thoughts and from the many blogs I read that believe in the same system we (my husband and I) believe in. I look back the two years since… Continue reading Our Path
