Carrots and Tomatoes

We had an awful carrot season this year. Carrots wouldn’t size up no matter where we seeded them this year. Three different beds. The Colors of Summer

Need we say more?

Beauty

There is beauty all around us. To me this photo depicts beauty and of course it doesn’t hurt that my favorite color is green!

Bounty

We’ve got some nice looking garlic that we pulled from the garlic patch today.  The apple trees are so loaded they are drooping and the blueberries and raspberries are coming on strong.

FRUIT

We are picking and picking and picking berries around here.  We are cleaning up the strawberry patch.  We’ve been picking black raspberries.  The raspberries and blueberries have started to come in and our black currant bushes are the best ever.  This appears to be a good fruit season and the apple trees are loaded with… Continue reading FRUIT

STRAWBERRIES

We will be picking today and will be open until 8:00 pm.  Come on by to pick some up.

Strawberries

We will be open all day today and tomorrow.  Stop by and pick up a quart of just picked for you nutrient dense strawberries.

I think there are a lot more beets than we thought. Yikes. This could be an all day/night marathon of beet… Continue reading Beets

Dry Beans

Here’s some dried beans that we just finished husking. These were grown this summer. Will be growing much more on a larger scale next year.

The Bounty

Just finished getting 21 pounds of apples ready for apple butter. Sure is a long process having to put all those cooked apples through a food mill. Good work out for the arms. We picked about 60 pounds of apples yesterday. Keith hoisted me up in the bucket of his tractor. When we picked those,… Continue reading The Bounty
